St. Francis Xavier Church is the home of our parish community.
We gather each Sunday for the celebration of the Eucharist.
Our 11:30am Mass from September to June is our full choir mass. At our 5:00pm Sunday Mass we have instruments to accompany our singing. On the first Sunday of each month, from September to June at our 9:00am, we have a Family Mass accompanied by our Family Faith Choir. On other Sundays we have CLOW (Children Liturgy of the Word).
A priest is available for confession each Saturday, from 1:00-2:00pm, in the Church. If you would like to make an appointment for a different time, please call our parish office at 212-627-2100.
In addition, we celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation as a parish community with a beautiful prayer service in Advent and again in Lent. Please check our website or bulletin for more information as we move into these two liturgical seasons.
You are always most welcome to take advantage of the grace of this wonderful sacrament.
Throughout the year we have special liturgical services organized by our different parish ministries.
Baptism services are usually on the second Saturday of each month. Baptisms are also celebrated during certain Sunday masses. The Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation) occur each year at the Easter Vigil, and Confirmation is scheduled for our 5:00pm Mass every Pentecost. The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony and Anointing of the Sick also take place in our active parish.
