At its Annual Agency Conference on January 11th, the Food Bank for New York City honored Xavier Mission with the Agency Excellence Award, its premier award bestowed on a network food program. Xavier was chosen from among the 1,000+ members in the Food Bank network for the distinction. The award was based on numerous factors, including the overall number of guests we serve, the additional services—such as benefits screenings, tax services, legal assistance and chiropractic care—offered at our food programs, our Go Green! Campaign, and the emphasis that Xavier places on hospitality and empowerment. The honor includes a commemorative plaque and $1000 cash prize. We are truly grateful to accept this award and would like to thank all of our volunteers, partner organizations and donors who make our programs possible. You help us make Xavier excellent and this award is for all of you!
