Catechesis is part of the Church’s Religious Education. Catechesis is the vital work of teaching people to practice a particular way of life. Catechists are religious educators sent by the Christian community so that through their words and actions, they can help others to discover God and to follow Jesus in his message. Catechesis is not only religious instruction, but a global formation for life; therefore, the best catechist is the one who guides others to be in direct communication with God. Family Faith Program at Xavier is “committed to learning our Christian Faith, creating communities and fostering spiritual growth for our children, youth, parents, and caretakers.”
