Catechesis is part of the Church’s Religious Education. Catechesis is the vital work of teaching people to practice a particular way of life. Catechists are religious educators sent by the Christian community so that through their words and actions, they can help others to discover God and to follow Jesus in his message. Catechesis is not only religious instruction, but a global formation for life; therefore, the best catechist is the one who guides others to be in direct communication with God. Family Faith Program at Xavier is “committed to learning our Christian Faith, creating communities and fostering spiritual growth for our children, youth, parents, and caretakers.”
The month of August is ideal to enroll in the program “Family Faith” which includes:
Family Mass at 9am on the first Sunday of every month and the Liturgy of
the Word for Children (CLOW) other Sundays at the 9am mass.
This applies to Sundays when we have Catechetical sessions.
Family Faith sessions for parents and pre-kindergarten to
12th grade students after the 9am Mass.
Sessions end at 11:30am.
Family Faith Choir rehearsals: from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Most complete information of Family Faith sessions, Liturgy of the Word with Children, Family Faith Choir, and Catechists is included in the sub pages attached to this sub page.
