Education Outreach Program: EOP is a 12-week group process for homeless or formerly homeless individuals. This program includes workshops on life skills and pairs participants with a mentor to work on goal
setting.

The next session of the EOP begins in September and many volunteers from the parish are still needed for a variety of roles. The goal of the EOP is to provide life skills and mentoring to participants to move them into more successful lifestyles.

Presenters are needed to make 1 1/2 hour presentations on topics such as Self Image, Stress Management, Personality Types, Goal Setting, Decision Making, Conflict Resolution, and Communication. All presentations will be on Tuesday or Thursday evenings this fall. Content suggestions for each of the topics are available upon request.
Mentors are needed to help participants set up and work toward goals. Mentors will meet with participants on 5 scheduled evenings. Mentors do not need a specific education or background, merely an interest in meeting and working with a program participant. There will be an informational meeting for all mentors.
Finally, at the beginning of each evening the group gathers for a meal. Volunteers are needed to prepare meals for the EOP.
If you would like to volunteer or learn more about the EOP please call the parish office (627-2100). Thank you!!
