What is Family Faith Formation? What is Family Faith Formation? The Family Faith Formation programs at Xavier are "committed to creating communities and fostering spiritual growth for our children, youth, parents, and caretakers." Family Faith meets Sunday mornings from 10-11:30am in the Mary Chapel. During this time, children gather for lectionary based catechesis and parents meet to discuss issues of spirituality, faith and parenting. We currently have classes for children pre-K through 12th grade.
Liturgy of the Word for Children: Each Sunday during the 9am and 11:30 am Masses, children ages 5-11 (children between kindergarten and 3rd grade) are dismissed from the 9am and 11:30 mass on Sundays. They are dismissed following the Opening Prayer and return to Mass just before the Eucharistic prayer. They gather to celebrate a liturgy of the Word geared to their age and developmental level.
