are taught by community volunteers.

- Family
Faith Program: The
Family Faith Formation programs at Xavier are "committed to creating
communities and fostering spiritual growth for our children, youth, parents,
and caretakers." Family Faith meets Sunday mornings from 10-11:30am in
the Mary Chapel. During this time, children gather for lectionary cased catechesis
and parents meet to discuss issues spirituality, faith and parenting. For

G.I.F.T.- Growing in Faith Together
GIFT is a parish wide catechesis that involves all ministries. Xavier recognizes that faith formation is a lifelong process. - Lay Spirituality
Program: Lay Spirits
sponsors a 12-month program of spiritual formation for lay people. The group
begins in December and meets weekly for discussion, prayer, presentations,
and reflection. It includes days of recollection and an 8-day summer directed

- Liturgy of
the Word for Children: Each
Sunday during the 9am and11:30 am Masses, children ages 5-11 (children between kindergarten and 3rd grade) are dismissed
from the 9am and 11:30 mass on Sundays. They are dismissed
following the Opening Prayer and return to Mass just before the Eucharistic
prayer. They gather to celebrate a liturgy of the Word geared to their age

Returning Catholics:

your Catholicism? Want to share your questions?"

627-2100 to find out when the next introductory meeting is. The meeting will
provide a chance for informal sharing and listening in a non-threatening environment.

Initiation of Adults (RCIA): Through a process of reflection, growth, community, prayer and instruction, RCIA is designed for those adults who are:

Unbaptized
• Baptized in another tradition
• Baptized Catholic, but with no further religious training or sacraments
• Catholics who would like to learn more about their faith
